Richard Lipton, with a background in professional calligraphy, has dedicated over 40 years to the design of letterforms. The discipline of type design, despite its strict parameters, in his view provides unlimited potential for creative letter-making. Lipton's interest in type design blossomed after earning a BA in Design and Photography. Through his work as a calligrapher, sign painter, and graphic designer, he developed a passion for type design. He continues his exploration into the art of alphabetic expression, finding endless nuances within it.

* Webfont: Specifically for usage on a single domain website. Web design agencies managing multiple sites, or hosting providers, are prohibited from employing a single webfont license across multiple sites. Every activation of the webpage utilizing the webfont kit (which holds the @font-face rule) is counted as a single pageview. Certain licenses permit usage in graphic images shown on the site. * Desktop: Created for desktop workstation usage for both personal and professional needs. It can be installed on Mac OS X or Windows system and used within desktop applications like Microsoft Word, Mac Pages, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, etc. Documents and static images created using these fonts are allowed. However, such usage may be subject to restrictions based on the foundry's Desktop license agreement. * Electronic Doc: Allows the embedding of the font in electronic publications such as an eBook, eMagazine, eNewspaper, or interactive PDF. Each issue counts as a separate publication. * Digital Ad/Email: Provides for the embedding of fonts in digital ads, like ads constructed using HTML5. Digital Ads licenses are more suitable for usage in digital ads and on advertising networks. Counts for digital ad impressions vary wide and are treated separately from websites. The license fee reflects this variability, making Digital Ads licenses typically less expensive.
