Mecanorma, a French company, was a leading global seller of instant rub-down lettering. In 1995, the company stepped away from the professional graphics market, during which time their products were produced by Trip Productions BV. In 2004, International TypeFounders (ITF) acquired a license for the digital typefaces from Trip Productions BV and introduced the portfolio as the Mecanorma Collection. This action preserved a top-tier digital font library of display typefaces, integrating genuine art and crafting into modern tools. In 2014, a permanent agreement between ITF and Trip Production’s successors solidified ITF's exclusive worldwide digital rights.
