Audry Kitoko Makelele, originally from Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, began her career as an amateur photographer. She is now a freelance graphic designer and typeface designer. She asserts, 'The works only succeed one another, but the artist's soul remains eternal.' Eager to progress and become a professional, she enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa in 2014. Despite this, she cultivated a burgeoning curiosity and passion for typography and in 2017 she successfully created the first Congolese writing font named KITOKO (a strong display font with a gentle touch). * Electronic Doc: Use for embedding in e-text products such as an eBook, eMagazine, eNewspaper, or interactive PDF. An Electronic Doc license is based on the number of publications in which the font is used.
