Established in 2017 by Rodrigo López Fuentes, a graphic artist, educator, and type designer, and Sergio Leiva Whittle, a professional graphic designer and self-taught type designer, Untype foundry is a new independent foundry based in Santiago, Chile. Their goal is to produce high-quality typefaces with an extensive range of possibilities and language support.

Desktop: Allows use on a desktop workstation for most common personal and professional uses. Applies to desktop applications with a font menu like Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, etc. Licenses depend on the number of users and some restrictions may apply.
Webfont: Permits use on a single website domain. Web design agencies or hosting providers with multiple sites need separate licenses. Pageview counts are noted each time the webfont kit is loaded.
App: Licenses for app developers embedding the font file in iOS, Android, or Windows Phone application code.
Digital Ad/Email: Licenses for embedding fonts in digital ads such as HTML5 ads. Allows use in digital ads and on advertising networks. It has variable costs based on advertising impressions.
Electronic Doc: Licenses for embedding the font in electronic publications such as eBooks, eMagazines, etc. Licensing is based on the number of publications using the font.
