Webfont: A webfont can be used on a single domain. It's not allowed to share a single webfont license across multiple websites. License types: Annual, Pay Once, and Pay As You Go. The usage of fonts in graphic images shown on the website requires a Desktop license. Every pageview is counted each time a webpage using the webfont kit is loaded.
Desktop: This license is needed for common uses, both personal and professional, in desktop applications with a font menu. The font can be used within desktop applications such as Microsoft Word, Mac Pages, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, etc. It also allows creation and printing of documents, as well as static images (.jpeg, .tiff, .png). This license is based on the number of users of the fonts.
App: This license type is selected when developing an app for iOS, Android, or Windows Phone, and the font file will be embedded in the mobile application's code.
Electronic Doc: An Electronic Doc license is used to embed the font in an electronic publication such as an eBook, eMagazine, eNewspaper, or interactive PDF. This license is based on the number of publications in which the font is used.
Digital Ad/Email: This type of license is used to embed fonts into digital ads, such as ads built using HTML5. HTML5 ads use webfonts, and the license terms permit usage in digital ads and on advertising networks. The usage patterns for digital advertisements are different from websites, and the prices reflect this.
