Webfont: for your website Webfonts can be used on a single domain. Patterns responsible for several websites, such as web design agencies or hosting providers, may not distribute a singular webfont license throughout multiple websites. Each time the webpage using the webfont kit is accessed (i.e., the webfont kit CSS which contains the @font-face rule is called), the counting system notches a singular pageview for each webfont featured within the webfont kit. To use graphic images shown on the website, ponder a Desktop license instead as most permit this. MyFonts offers three types of webfont licenses: Annual, Pay Once, and Pay As You Go. Only one out of these three would be accessible for a specific webfont.
Desktop: for utilization on a desktop workstation For the majority of uses, both personal and professional, for use in desktop applications with a font menu. For instance: Install the font on your Mac OS X or Windows system Use the font within desktop applications such as Microsoft Word, Mac Pages, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, etc. Establish and print documents, alongside static images (.jpeg, .tiff, .png) Desktop licenses are calculated based on the number of users of the fonts. The number of users can be modified by clicking the quantity dropdown option on Buying Choices or Cart pages. Please review the listing foundry's Desktop license agreement as certain restrictions may apply— such as in logos/trademarks, geographic constraints (number of places), and products intended for sale.
App: for embedding in mobile apps This license type is selected when you are designing an app for iOS, Android, or Windows Phone, and you plan to embed the font file in your mobile app's code.
Digital Ad/Email: for use in HTML5 advertisements This license type can be used to embed fonts into digital ads, such as ones created using HTML5. A kit comprising of webfonts that can be used for digital ads, like banner ads, is provided. This kit can be shared with third parties tasked with creating your ad creative, but responsibility for it rests with you. HTML5 ads use webfonts, so why get a Digital Ads license instead of a Webfont license?
Electronic Doc: for embedding in e-text items This license can be acquired to embed the font in an electronic publication like an eBook, eMagazine, eNewspaper, or interactive PDF. The Electronic Doc license is counted based on the number of publications where the font is used. Each edition counts as a unique publication. Variations in region or format won't count as unique publications. Updated versions of publications accessible to previous customers don't need a new license; otherwise, every new edition that's released counts as a new publication.
