Desktop: Allowed for use on a desktop workstation. Common personal and professional uses include desktop apps with a font menu such as Microsoft Word, Mac Pages, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, etc. Can create and print documents, and static images (.jpeg, .tiff, .png). Licenses are based on the number of users.
Webfont: Webfonts can only be used on a single domain. Cannot be shared across multiple websites. Counting system counts a single pageview for each webfont within the webfont kit every time a webpage using the webfont kit is loaded.
App: Applicable for embedding in mobile applications for iOS, Android, or Windows Phone.
Digital Ad/Email: Suitable for embedding fonts into digital ads, such as HTML5 build ads. Digital Ad licenses are typically less expensive compared to Webfont licenses.
Electronic Doc: Enabled for embedding font in electronic publications like eBooks, eMagazines, eNewspapers, or interactive PDFs. Use doesn't extend to font usage in graphic images shown as the ePub cover.
