Desktop: Intended for utilization on a desktop workstation. Most frequently used for both private and business purposes, in desktop software with a font menu. For instance, setting up the font on Windows or Mac OS X systems, using the font within desktop applications such as Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, Mac Pages, Adobe Photoshop, etc. It enables the creation of printed docs, and static imagery (.jpeg, .tiff, .png) Desktop licenses are given according to the total number of font users. If necessary, add more users by simply placing a new order for the same Desktop package.
Webfont: Intended for use on your website. A webfont can be applied on a singular domain. Agencies handling multiple websites may not share a lone webfont license over numerous sites. Usage in images displayed on the website might need a Desktop license. MyFonts provides three types of webfont licenses: Annual, Pay Once, and Pay As You Go.
