The firm's growth is attributed mainly to the success of the PostScript graphics programming language, a standard in the printing industry since the mid-1980s. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are widely used in graphic design. Furthermore, the PDF format introduced by Adobe is also considered a global standard for document exchange.
