In March 1986, Elsner+Flake Designstudios was established by Veronika Elsner and Günther Flake, who had a decade of independent experience in type design, typography, and the digitization of fonts and logos. Their company's primary goal is to continuously increase their digital font library. Now, the Elsner+Flake Digital Library, internationally recognized and esteemed, includes over 2,500 fonts available in Mac PostScript, PC PostScript, and PC Truetype. They avoid electronic alteration, digitizing all italics from original artwork. Their text and headline typefaces have matching cap heights and contain standard character layouts.
