Emil Bertell, a Finland-based designer with a successful career as an award-winning illustrator, started his journey by publishing his first font files at the young age of 16 garnering him international acclaim. Transitioning from being a well-recognized graphic designer to one of the most successful type designers from the Nordic countries on MyFonts, Emil claims his obsession with visual culture was evident from the beginning. Despite his success as an illustrator, drawing painstaking pencil illustrations for various outlets, Emil decided to pivot and focus on type design full time.
