Please confirm the exact usage with the font owner(foundry or publisher).

from
  • * Desktop: Intended for use on a desktop workstation. It caters to usual uses, both for personal and professional purposes, and can be utilized in desktop applications with a font menu. Examples include: installation on OS X or Windows systems, usage in applications like MS Word, InDesign, Photoshop, and more, enabling the creation and printing of documents and static images. The number of users of the fonts dictates the Desktop licenses. Adjustments to the number of users can be made via drop-down option on purchase pages. Certain restrictions might apply (e.g., in logos/trademarks, geographic restrictions, and commercial products). Adding more users can be made by placing another order for the same Desktop package for the added users.

  • * Digital Ad/Email: Permits using fonts in HTML5 ads. A kit containing applicable webfonts is supplied and can be shared with third-party entities producing ad creatives on your behalf. HTML5 ads utilize webfonts, thus necessitating a Digital Ads license. The reason behind this is the different usage patterns of digital ads as compared to websites. Digital ads could be less costly due to price considerations taking into account the variable advertising impressions. The required number of impressions can be determined before the campaign or adjusted to match actual numbers at the end of each calendar month.

  • * Webfont: Exclusively for your website. Each webfont is bound to a single domain, and cannot be shared across multiple sites by agencies handling multiple websites. A single pageview is counted when a webpage uses the webfont kit. Graphic images shown on the website, should consider a Desktop license. Three types are offered: Annual, Pay Once, and Pay As You Go. Only one of these is available for a specific webfont.

  • * App: Particularly for embedding in mobile applications. This license type is ideal when developing an app for iOS, Android, or Windows Phone where you will be embedding the font in your application's code.

  • * Electronic Doc: Allows font embedding in e-text products like eBook, eMagazine, eNewspaper, or interactive PDF. This type of license considers the number of publications the font will be used in. Each separate issue is considered a separate publication, updated versions that are free to previous customers do not need a new license. For font usage in graphic images displayed as the ePub cover, a Desktop license should be considered.
