This for instance involves the installation of the font on your Mac OS X or Windows system, the use of the font in desktop applications such as Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop etc., creation and printing of documents as well as static images. The cost of Desktop licenses is dependent on the number of users. Certain conditions may apply such as use in logos/trademarks, geographic restrictions, and products for sale.
Webfont: Applied strictly for websites in a single domain. Web design agencies or hosting providers with multiple websites cannot share a single webfont license across multiple websites. MyFonts offers three different licenses: Annual, Pay Once, and Pay As You Go.
App: Intended for use in mobile application development, this license type permits the embedding of the font file in the app's code.
Digital Ad/Email: This license caters for embedding fonts in HTML5 digital ads or emails. The kit containing webfonts can be shared with third parties creating the ad creative but the responsibility lies with you. Digital Ad licenses are generally cheaper due to differing usage patterns compared to websites.
Electronic Doc: This license is meant for embedding the font in electronic publications like e-books, e-magazines, e-newspapers, or interactive PDFs.
