Desktop: Largely employed for both personal and professional purposes, it finds usage in desktop applications with a font menu. For instance, the font can be installed on Mac OS X or Windows systems, and be used within desktop applications such as MS Word, Mac Pages, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop etc. You can create and print documents, and static images (.jpeg, .tiff, .png). Licenses for desktop use relies on the number of users, restrictions apply.

Webfont: Suited for websites on a singular domain. The conditions disallow web design agencies or hosting providers to share a single webfont license across various websites. Charges are levied per page view for each webfont within the kit. For graphic image use on the website, consider a Desktop license instead.

App: Opt for this license type when developing an app for iOS, Android, or Windows Phone, and you wish to embed the font file in your mobile application's code.

Electronic Doc: This license allows the font embedded in e-publications such as eBooks, eMagazines, eNewspapers, or interactive PDFs. It is based on the number of publications wherein the font is utilized. Each issue is considered as a separate publication. Regional or format variations don't count as separate publications. Updated versions of publications that are free to previous customers do not require a new license.
