Please confirm the exact usage with the font owner(foundry or publisher).
Desktop: Intended for desktop workstation applications, these are most often used in personal and professional capacities. Such desktop applications include Microsoft Word, Mac Pages, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, amongst others. The aim of these fonts is to enrich any documents, images, and prints you wish to create. However, remember that our desktop licenses are based on the number of users of the fonts. Should you wish to modify the number of users, simply click the quantity dropdown option on our Buying Choices or Cart pages. Do take note of the provisions included in the listing foundry's Desktop license agreement, as it delineates restriction areas like use in logos/trademarks, geographic restrictions, and products that will be sold.
App: The App license is perfect for developers creating apps for platforms such as iOS, Android, and Windows Phone, particularly if you wish to embed the font files directly in your mobile application's code.
Digital Ad/Email: For use in HTML5 ads, particularly if embedding the fonts in digital ads such as HTML5-built advertisements. However, responsibility lies with you for sharing these kits with third-parties who are producing the ad creatives on your behalf. The costings reflect the different usage patterns compared to other licenses, with purchases usually made in relation to the number of intended impressions before a campaign begins. For campaigns of variable impression counts, payments can be made at the end of each calendar month.
Webfont: Webfonts can only be used on a single domain, therefore agencies or hosting providers must acquire a separate license per website where the webfont kit is installed. For static graphic images on websites a Desktop license may be more suitable. There are three types of WebFont licenses: Annual, Pay Once and Pay As You Go.
Electronic Doc: If embedding the font in an electronic publication (like an eBook, eMagazine, eNewspaper or an interactive PDF), this license may be most appropriate. Each publication counts as a separate need for a license – two separate eBooks would require two licenses, not one. However, free updates to existing publications do not require new licenses.
