In 2012, Dathan Boardman and Molly Jacques Erickson co-founded Great Lakes Lettering due to their collective admiration for expressive calligraphy. Dathan came across Molly's unique and deeply moving calligraphy work, which didn't resemble any other familiar styles, and proposed a collaboration to transform her lettering into fonts. Later that year, they launched their inaugural typeface, 'Frosted.' Some of their most popular typefaces include 'Asterism,' a captivating, personality-rich calligraphy font with a lively baseline, and 'Kailey,' an artisanal, hand-lettered typeface.
