Canada Type is an independent studio based in Toronto that specializes in digital lettering and font development. It was established in 2004 by some experienced designers dissatisfied with the quality and licensing terms of fonts during that period. Over the years, the studio has grown significantly, established a versatile and popular retail catalog, and aided numerous designers in gaining international recognition in the ever-evolving and intensively competitive type design industry. ※ Following licensing information is for reference only.
Please confirm the exact usage with the font owner(foundry or publisher).
* Desktop: Utilized on a desktop workstation for both personal and professional purposes, accessible through desktop applications like Microsoft Word, Mac Pages, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, etc. Can be used to make and print documents and static images like .jpeg, .tiff, .png. The license is based on the number of font users - the number can be changed by adjusting the quantity option on Buying Choices or Cart pages. Certain restrictions may apply based on the foundry's Desktop license agreement, such as use in logos/trademarks, geographic restrictions and products that will be sold. Can add users later, as the licenses are cumulative. Additional licenses can be purchased by placing a new order for the same Desktop package for the extra users. Read the Heathen Desktop EULA for more information.
* WebFont: Can be used on a single website domain. Agencies operating multiple websites cannot share a single webfont license across multiple sites. Each time a webpage that uses the webfont kit loads, a single page view is counted for each webfont in the kit. If the website uses graphic images, a Desktop license might be needed. There are three types of webfont licenses provided by MyFonts: Annual, Pay Once, and Pay As You Go. Only one of these three would be available for a given webfont. Read the Heathen WebFont EULA to learn more.
