Hermann Berthold started the H. Berthold typefoundry in Berlin in 1858, known for its high-quality typeface production. It was the world's largest foundry by 1918, boasting offices in Stuttgart, St. Petersburg, Leipzig, Riga, Budapest and Vienna. The foundry, apart from its primary typesetting equipment business, also developed superior quality typefaces. Akzidenz-Grotesk (released 1896), their most famous typeface family, is often recognized as the progenitor of all sans serifs. Electronic Doc: For embedding in e-text products such as eBooks, eMagazines, eNewspapers, or interactive PDFs. This license is based on the number of publications in which the font is used.
App: For embedding in mobile applications when developing an app for iOS, Android, or Windows Phone.
