FontFont Foundry

FontFont was established in 1990 by FontShop founder Erik Spiekermann and type designer Neville Brody. Based in Kreuzberg, Berlin, Germany, they desired to create a foundry where designers could produce type, with friendly and fair offers to type designers. Its aim was to challenge typographic norms and boundaries and construct a collection unlike any other, showcasing a diverse range of styles and purposes.

Please confirm the exact usage with the font owner(foundry or publisher).

from
  • Webfont: Usage is restricted to one domain alone. A separate license is necessary for every individual site in cases where a single entity manages multiple websites. The license count considers every single load of the web page using the webfont kit. For image graphics use, Desktop license is suggested. There are three types: Annual, Pay Once, and Pay As You Go. Only one type is available for each webfont. Learn more here. See the FF Mode01 WebFont EULA for more details.

  • App: Suitable for mobile applications development for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone where the font file will be part of the mobile application's code. Read more at FF Mode01 App EULA.

  • Electronic Doc: Use it for electronic publications like eBooks, eMagazines, eNewspapers, or interactive PDFs. This license counts each publication separately. However, formatting or regional variations don't constitute separate publications. Requiring a new license for updated versions depends on whether these are free for old customers or not. The FF Mode01 Electronic Doc EULA discusses further.

  • Digital Ad/Email: Use it for embedding in HTML5 ads. The kit supplied allows usage for digital ads such as banners. The kit might be shared with third parties for ad creative development. Digital Ads licenses differ from Webfont licenses as they allow for usage on advert networks and in digital ads. The pricing and usage requirements will vary to cater to advertising's unpredictable nature. Refer to FF Mode01 Digital Ad/Email EULA for comprehensive rules.

  • Desktop: This license caters to routine personal and professional use on desktop workstations with applications like Microsoft Word, Mac Pages, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, etc. It allows creation and printing of static images and documents. User quantity is a key determinant of the license, which can be adjusted on the purchase or cart pages. Please refer to the FF Mode01 Desktop EULA to check for specific restrictions.
