About "Courier"

Designed at ParaType in 1990 by Tagir Safayev, the Courier New font is based on the Courier typewriter face created by Howard Kettler for International Business Machines (IBM) in 1956.

This typeface is widely recognized for its monospaced and simple design, making it suitable for typewriter and computer programming applications.

In 1997, Alexander Tarbeev introduced decorative styles to enhance the Courier New font, offering additional versatility and aesthetic options for various design contexts.

The font's lineage and subsequent modifications contribute to its enduring popularity across different industries and applications.
