The Hackberry Font Foundry was founded by David Bergsland in 1998 to design and sell fonts used specifically in his digital publishing training books. David's fonts are characterized by their hand-drawn aesthetic, serving as an antidote to the rising tide of technological 'slickness.' They are intentionally loosened in structure and feature 'air' breaks within the glyphs. His fonts function as OpenType Pro fonts, containing special production features, such as oldstyle numbers, small caps, discretionary ligatures, and special dingbats.
