Mott Jordan
Mott Jordan, who studied studio art and design at U.C. Santa Cruz and worked as a self-employed sign painter before becoming a full-time graphic artist at a local weekly, started his type design career in the mid-1990s at International Typographic Corporation under Ilene Strizver. During this time, he released two typefaces, ITC Verkehr and ITC Hornpype. By the mid-2010s, Jordan had established the Mysterylab Foundry, which today offers approximately 36 typefaces that span a range of styles from retro 1960s and 1970s to ornate Victorian and old west fonts, as well as futurist/experimental designs and multi-weight workhorses. Besides this, he also operates a graphic design business...
