In the early 90s, Dino dos Santos, founder of DSType, began designing typefaces due to the limited availability of fonts at the time, as he expressed in his Creative Characters interview. His approach was not simply to select an available typeface after creating a graphic design, but to design fonts that complement his new typographic experience. Dino, based in Porto, Portugal, first started creating fonts for magazines and large corporations. Disappointed with the restricted choice of system fonts and dry transfer sheets, he began selling his own typefaces on MyFonts. The self-educated designer has since built a library filled with striking experiments and charming designs.

* Desktop: Given permission for utilization on a desktop workstation. It is suitable for personal and professional use including desktop applications such as Microsoft Word, Mac Pages, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and others. The license extends to creating and printing documents, and generating static images. A desktop license counts users of the fonts and can be updated as per requirements. Certain restrictions may apply as per the agreement of the listing foundry.
* App: Tailored for integration in mobile applications. This license is suitable for iOS, Android, or Windows Phone apps where the font file will be embedded in the mobile application's code.
* Digital Ad/Email: Designed for use in HTML5 ads that include digital ads built using HTML5. The license includes a kit with webfonts to be used in banner ads. This kit can be shared with third parties for ad creative production. The terms of this license cater to digital ads specifically as digital advertisements have different usage patterns compared to websites.
* Webfont: Exclusively for website use and restricted to a single domain. Agencies managing multiple websites must have individual webfont licenses. This license counts a single pageview for each webfont in the webfont kit. MyFonts presents three webfont licenses: Annual, Pay Once, and Pay As You Go.
* Electronic Doc: Developed for embedding in electronic products such as eBooks, eMagazines, eNewspapers, interactive PDFs and more. Counts the number of publications the font is used in and licenses are variant based on the number of publications. An updated version for existing customers doesn't require a new license.
