Universal Design refers to a universal design that prevents users of products, facilities, and services not to be restricted by gender, age, or disability.

The movement to introduce the concept of universal to the typeface has been moving little by more than a decade since Japan's Iwata typeface, and the information and choice of the typefaces that everyone can read in the Hangul type are insufficient.

Accordingly, the Korea Development Institute will develop and distribute universal design fonts that encompass the elderly and low vision.

To date, we have completed two Gothic type fonts of Koddiud (BOLD, Regular) and we have been developing additional EXTRA BOLD to expand the usability of fonts.
